He Finishes What He Starts
He Finishes What He Starts
This assignment carried me across 16,128 miles:
Portland → New York: ~2,453
New York → Paris: ~3,635
Paris → Frankfurt: ~279
Frankfurt → Tel Aviv: ~1,837
Tel Aviv → Amsterdam: ~2,060
Amsterdam → Chicago: ~4,120
Chicago → Portland: ~1,744
Over all those miles, this luggage did its best — until it finally cracked. It has served its purpose. It’s time to retire it.
But aren’t you grateful that God doesn’t treat us like luggage?
Luggage gets replaced.
People get restored.
Suitcases are retired.
Souls are renewed.
When we crack — He doesn’t discard us.
When we’re worn — He doesn’t give up on us.
When we feel finished — He begins again.
Because God takes us from place to place, from assignment to assignment… and He completes what He starts.
“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.” — Philippians 1:6
And even when the journey takes us through difficult places: through deep waters, through fire, through overwhelm…
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.” — Isaiah 43:2
He’s not done with you yet.
Keep going.
Keep trusting.
Keep walking.
Thank you for reading. If you’ve ever felt worn, stretched, or overwhelmed — I want to remind you that God is still working in your life. He’s not finished with you yet. Feel free to share a moment when God carried you through a difficult season — your testimony may encourage someone else today.
